As an automotive instructor, I always personalize the presentations that I am provided. I review the information, make corrections that I think are warranted, add a little extra, remove anything redundant, then use all of that information as a review tool for my presentation. I present the information using a conversational style and not just reading from the board. I like to infuse some of my personality into the mix. I also invite, almost beg for, questions.
