Importance of the syllabus, scaffolding and overall communication 

Consistency, Consistency, Consistency 

To assist students in being confident in finding resources, assigments and general tools of the program. 

Rubrics are another form of communication, with define guidelines and boundaries for students to 

review when summiting assignments. 

I have gained knowledge on the generalational differeneces, strengths and areas of concerns.  How to use different techniques to provide a supportive online educational  palteform.  

I gained the importance of content-related communication, process-related communication and feedback, being consistent with communication.  Last setting guidelines, boundaries and examples of communication styles, so all feel safe and heard.  

I learned the pros and cons of the various types of communication and teaching styles for asynchronous and synchronous classes.   Also the importance of reviewing systems when in a formative and summative format.   

I gained knowledge on various types of learners and traits which may hinder the learning process.

Also red flags which can derail the learning process and the importance to learn what policies 

and procedures to use to manage these instances in the university handbook. 

Identify differnt types of learners and how to support them.

Pros and cons of Asynchronous and Synchronous styles.

Importance of productive feedback.

On the first day to have students write a short bio, to get to know each of them on a personal level. 

It is imperative to understand the online format and have students be knowledgeable of expectations, how to access the information and be able to contact the professor if unsure how to move forward with assigments.
