I appreciated the suggestion to use on-line resources.  There is a continuing education website that students in our profession can use to receive training in various safety issues at no cost.  

I really appreciated the PBIS resources and the information on trauma-informed schools.  The statistic of 1 in 4 children having experienced trauma is eye-opening!  It reminds me that I need to be empathetic and mindful in all interactions with students.

Having an advisory committee not only informs the direction of the program, but can also provide valuable business and community partnerships to place students during their fieldwork trianing.

It really made me think about how I present myself - even when sending something as simple as an e-mail.  It also inspired me to want to be the best role model for my students.  I want to be a strong example of how to be a true professional in my career field.

I also gained a greater understanding of the history of CTE and an appreciation for the progression of CTE learning, to provide more clear pathway choices and clear standards with an aim toward providing high quality programs and training.
