In my experience as an educator, age cooperation has been my favorite place to encourage students to reach outside of their own sphere and pull in more experiences. I have often seen an 18 year old and a 50+ year old sit down and have a meaningful discussion on literature and bring two completely opposite sides to the conversations. It's fascinating to me that two people who might be from the same socio-economic and cultural backgrounds and the major difference between them is age can have such a vast gulf of knowledge and experience.
