About me

I'm in a PhD program right now... Studying Advanced Human Behavior.  I'm teaching Professinal Development at a Career College.  I also teach spanish at a two year college.

I'm always looking for way to improve my abilities to intereact with my students in a way that will help them grown from their learning experiences.

Activity

I really try desperately to prevent myself from being so stressed out. I suffer from high blood pressure and have learned to take things in stride. I watch what I eat and take walks. this helps a great deal. I agree to being positive this seems to help the students and myself. enjoyed this training course. very very helpful to me.

This course on stress management was excellent.  I try hard to maintain a Stress Free Environment especially when teaching.  I try very hard to make a very Positive Environment while teaching.  It seems to rub off very well.  My enthusiasim for the course is effective.

I takes walks in the morning and it helps me to stay stress free and positive

I agree totally with the asking questions....However, sometimes, I get a student who goes off on a tangent and before I know it she's talking about her personal family issues... and then it becomes a free for all... YIKES!!!

I have been teaching for a few years.  I learned some really new techniques very intersting to me..

Thank you

yes, yes, I agree retention is so important.  I am one that will call my students when they are out or email them.  I want them to know that they are missed.  The key for me is to make sure it doesn't come off as my trying to be their friend but, that of a caring instructor who wants to see them succeed.

Is it inappropriate to recruit people from within the community to visit our school? I work as a volunteer at a community center where many young adults attend and I'm always encouraging them to come to the school. I have had a couple come visit where I have showed them around the campus. Should I just refer them to the admissions and financial people?
Thank you for your input I've taken care of the matter
