Renee, This is a typical example of how a student feels frustrated and intimidated by their instructor. I am curious as to how you responded? Cindy Bryant
Nancy, Many times we fail to see that we are role models for our students. They have entered college to pursue a career in a field that we have already mastered and they look up to us as examples of where that field can take them. If we are less than professional then they assume that the field does not require professionalism. If we are less than cheerful then they assume the field has not treated us well and this is how they may turn out as well. We must always assume that we are being watched. Cindy Bryant

Sydnee, Seldom do we discuss pre-requisites however the sequence of courses are very important to the overall success of the program itself. If a student happens to inadvertently miss a pre-requisite course or take it out of sequence their entire graduation is at risk, not only the student's graduation but the program and possibly the college. The course sequence is approved by the state and accrediting agency and any deviation from the approved sequence is considered to be "out of compliance." Cindy Bryant

Sydnee, Great point! Generalization would be considered unintentional misrepresentation regardless it carries the same penalty as intentional misrepresentation. It always best to quote your disclosures in this type of situation. Cindy Bryant
