Duane, Hi! It sounds as if your department is meeting the students expectations. Failing to meet students expectations is one of the leading reasons that that complaints are generated. Good job! Cindy Bryant
Ashton, HI! Do you think the disclosures are presented in Financial Aid prior to receiving aid? The USDOE requires that every student receiving aid be taken through an entrance and an exit interview. How does your college handle these? Cindy Bryant

Milton, The media is always on the hunt for a newsworthy story that they can sensationalize. It is up the career colleges to stay compliant and avoid negative media attention when possible. Mystery shoppers are hired to ensure compliance, hopefully, in a positive way. Their goal should be to protect the college and to catch small issues before they become bigger issues. Cindy Bryant
Traci, Life issues are always unavoidable and will continue to have an impact on a certain percentage of students. We do the best that we can to assist them but at the end of the day that is all that we can do. Ethically we have to do what our conscience and moral compass tells us to do. Cindy Bryant

Janel, Hi! Dependent upon your accrediting body your complaint policy could vary. Most accrediting agencies have very similar policies that require their institutions to publish the complaint policy in the catalog (which you do) document complaints in writing, resolve complaints in a timely fashion. Sounds like you are taking care of these elements in order to stay in compliance. Cindy Bryant

Stephanie, Many times the fact that a person has experience in the field isn't always enough sometimes they need additional knowledge that assist them in gaining their certifications and/or licensure. Additionally, a career college offers networking opportunities and career services that help the student propel into the industry. Cindy Bryant
Juan, The technical experience students gain is a great way for them to get their foot in the door for an entry level position. Continuing their education is the key to being upwardly mobile in their career. Cindy Bryant
Linda, In today's market place we are seeing a great need for technical skills and this is where the career colleges shine. staying on top of these skills along with licenses and certifications is the best advice we can give students in the classroom. Cindy Bryant
