I learned some strategies for dealing with disruptive students and ways to support students who may be intimidated by the content or format of the courses I will teach.
I learned about some techniques that will help me facilitate both synchronous and asynchronus discussions as well as appropriate situations for both types of discussions. I also learned about types of reluctant learners and how to address their styles of learning.
Building a relationship with students is still possible outside of the traditional classroom. Students value the instructor's teaching credentials and achievements. I learned how to manage synchronous and asynchronous discussions.
It is important to be very familiar with the CMS so that content can be delivered and accessed in a meaningful way.
