Catherine, You definitely understand the concepts behind the regulations. Unfortunately not everyone has the same level of common sense about what is appropriate for admissions to say. It is also unfortunate that there are still schools, unlike yours, who simply do not keep their admissions staff informed about these important regulations. As you are truly the face of your school to the public they simply must keep you informed and up to date. I know it must feel good to know your school is doing the right thing! Donna Guisado
Catherine, That's true belief in the quality of education your school is providing, to encourage students to visit other schools. Great confidence means great things are happening! Not to mention the level of integrity your organization has. Very impressive. Donna Guisado

Susan, It's true. You want to be very careful in making any promises about completion dates. Play it safe and give them a date range and tell them why, in general, this is done. There are many things that might change that actual date, like the two you mention. Important not to make promises that we just cannot guarantee to keep! Donna Guisado
Susan, That's awesome. It's so important that admissions has a good knowledge of the overall happenings at the school. Prospective students ask you about everything! Donna Guisado
Susan, It's truly the only way to go! Donna Guisado
Susan, That's perfect Susan. We can never guarantee job placement. We must always say we offer job placement assistance. I always like to point out that we can help make introductions into the world of work, but it will be up to them to get and keep the job! Donna Guisado

Jeff, That is the 64 million dollar question!! There are many for-profit schools that would LOVE to know that very same thing Jeff. It is a long, mostly political answer, but the bottom line is probably best answered by the "for-profit". Many, many, MANY years ago, there were...unfortunately...some for-profit schools that did take advantage of the system, and really left an ugly mark on the schools that were doing good things for the students. So, the regulations for schools that make a profit and use Title IV funding are held to a higher standard, and what often seems unfair. I… >>>

Deanna, It is correct to a certain extent. You are able to talk about financial aid in generalities...yes, we have it...yes, we can help you see what you are qualified for...things like that. But going over specific responses about financial aid, such as what do I qualify for, how do I fill out the FAFSA, you cannot respond. Donna Guisado
Jeff, Doesn't it make you feel good to know that your organization is staying on top of the requirements like that? With so much bad press, it can become disheartening, but there are many schools out there who are really making a difference in our students lives. Sounds like you are right there making that happen!
