karla, This process provides a means to address visual (PowerPoint and demo), auditory (question and answer), and kinesthetic (demo on each other) learning styles. Chan, Hopefully, the CS department sets the correct expectations regarding the current job market and what students could be doing to be as prepared as possible when the time comes to search for a job. Sometimes, I think students think there is a job waiting for them they MINUTE they graduate. Even in a robust economy that may be an overly ambitious expectation. Dr. Ron Hansen

Student Centered Learning, 21st Century Learning, and a lesson learned from Boy Scouts

For the last decade (plus) my professional and personal development has intersected. Professionally, I have grown from a campus leader to providing services to multiple campuses. Personally/Professionally, I went back to school to earn a doctorate in instructional leadership. Personally, I went beyond my comfort zone and served as a Scoutmaster for my sons' Boy Scout troop.
