About me

Hi, My name is Florita Robinson. I am currently a dental assistant instructor at Concorde Career Colleges Olrando, FL. This is my 5th year as a dental assistant instructor; I spend 3 years teaching at a previous Career Institute. I enjoy teaching students, specifically the wide variety of ages I come across students ranging from 18 years to 45 years and up.

The maxknowledge courses are a great tool to help instructors better their teaching skills, giving them an understanding of the different learning styles of students, and how to best reach or approach them. Also, giving the intructor the opportunity to renew or add new goals and objectives to their yearly teaching plans, helps to keep them grounded or focused to do a good job teaching and guiding the students through their programs.

The helper student

I welcome the student who can reach their peers on their level with explaining a subject. Unless the student needing help with explaining asks for help, I don't think it is ever enough to help a student understanding a subject. Specifically, when the student self asks for help or tutoring. FRobinson

I do like the idea of having pictures with the slides, specifically with a health course. Now as you say you add pictures to the slides, I take that you have a way of incorporating the pictures into the slides. What is a way to do this on my flash drive, which is already put together by corporate?

This course helps me to emphasize my pofessionalism with the students. It showis me I can be professional and at the same time friendly and caring toward students. The subject professionalism is an important part of class management for the instructor as the ultimate role model for the students to establishing rapport with students. This ensuries me to be helpful and caring towards the students, gving a good example, at the same time students understanding that there is a professionalism between instructor and them.
