This module made me aware of other disabilites besides just the physical.   All these non-physical disabilites can have a impact on a student's ability to learn.

I've learned how accomidations can be made for disabilities.  I found the difference between a "service animal" and an "emotional support animal" interesting.

Understanding the FERPA laws in very important in protecting student;s privacy.   Some students don't want any of their information released to anyone and it's important to respect that request.

Understanding different learning styles can help in lesson planning.   Gving students options will give them more self confidence in their learning and will motivate them to continue to learn.

I learned that an instructor can change their teaching style if one isn't working.  It's not difficult to switch from an Authority to Demonstrator if that's how the students are going to learn.  

I love this, the color system makes total sense.   I agree with the blue being warm and friendly, gold is responsible and punctual,  green is competent and independent, and orange is social.  

Learning about the different personality traits can help in lesson planning.   Understanding each learning style will make me a better instructor.

I have discovered many different ways to motivate and engage online learners.   I always found discussions challenging and this course has shoed me different ways to keep students engaged.

Collaberative actvities can help a student know that there is not necessarily one carrect answer.  It helps the student explore different solution and this can enhance their critcal thinking.

Adding references to students own lives help keep them engaged.  Students can see the relevance of the material instead of just "facts" being presented to them.
