Your perception is right on for some people. They get very comfortable in their familiar structure and when it gets changed they panic. Change is inevitable for all of us. Sometimes it is ucomfortable but we need to have a way of responding to the stress. Balance in your life helps each of us respond. Exercise, mental challenges, leisure and spiritual reflection will help us progress in our lives.
I there are many resources but I will give you one to get started:
Exercise is an excellent tool for handling stress. Each of us should match this up with a balance in our life. Exercise, mental relaxation, spiritual reflection and leisure.
I would like to add to your comment but you are target on!! These are the techniques that will assist you through your personal and professional life.
If you can put the emotion aside the better you will think out a process for resolution. Let your heart and mind be your conscience. This will always direct you with what is right.
Everyone seems to have their own agenda's. Good leadership is to organize and guide the meeting in a way the ownership by all leads to a unified agreement. You can do this through establishing a unified mission and purpose.
It is always good to have the release strategies for the tough moments. Each of us may have different ways of doing this but what ever works is healthy unless the release is unlawful, chemically inappropriate or morally wrong.
Leisure activity is always good. Somtimes this activity will suffice for all the ingredients we have disussed. The ability to get away or step back for rejuvenation is always good.
Transfer of ownership is important in any change. If you the only one owning the change it will be difficult to implement. Your idea of team ownership will be key to the success of any transition from old to new.
My father used to say the sun will come up tomorrow no matter what. This is kind of what you are saying. Time keeps moving so all we can do is determine how we are going to live with our daily challenges. We can make the best of the worst situations.
