Activity

Martha, Good strategy because the more you connect your content to their future the more value they associate with the class. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Discussion Comment
Martha, This is how instructional improvement is made. Student feedback is a way to give us specifics on how we can make changes that will enhance the learning process. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Robert, Being a role model and learning leader is such an important part of what we do as educators. We need to remember our roles as we interact with students and demonstrate what a person in our field should be like for our students. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Mark, Right you are. You are the learning leader and you value the content you are sharing. The result is students see that you do not take your content lightly but see it as a essential part of their education. Consequently they read your energy and it becomes a part of theirs as well. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Martha, I agree. Coming to class with passion for your field and enthusiasm for teaching about it goes a long in way in spreading excitement to students. This is one of the reasons teaching is so much fun. We get to talk about our passion and get paid to do it. This is a win win deal. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Robert, This is a really good strategy for your students to implement. You are getting them identify their system and then reflect on how it has helped them and what additional help they might need. This has to yield great results in that they can expand their support system if they need to or create another one if that one is not working. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Ashley, This is a good way to maintain boundaries and yet make yourself accessible to students. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Simina, You are right, because excitement is catching so why not spread it around your classroom so your students can catch it as well and increase the level of motivation in the class. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Ashley, Good rule to have and this way you can maintain control of the learning environment while reducing disruptions. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
Sheena, Respect is the foundation upon which rapport grows. When you have rapport with your students it is a joy to be an educator and enjoy watching your students learn and grow in their knowledge. Gary Gary Meers, Ed.D.
