LaBoore, Good. Specific feedback and clear directions and examples help tremendously. Herbert Brown III
Charles, The objectives and course information is very relevant, but the student is saying that the content is irrelevant. How might you address that specifically? Herbert Brown III
Nicholas, That is a good start, but they are really saying the content is irrelevant to them regardless of where it is located or how it is tied to the course, how might you handle this specifically? Herbert Brown III
Morissa, What kind of responsibilities specifically would you say are increased in an online setting? Herbert Brown III
Stephanie, Are these writing classes? What about other expectations such as classroom dynamics, communication? How do you present these expectations to students and ensure that they have read them and comprehend them? Herbert Brown III
William, These are all very important. Do you provide any expectations regarding communication between the students and instructor and instructor/student? Herbert Brown III
Dwayne, Expectations are very important to the sucess of the studnets in the course. Student are bad to not read expectation you provide them, thus causing potential issues later in the course. How do you provide the expectations to your students? How do you make sure they actually read and comprehend the expectations? Herbert Brown III
Lyn , So instead of the high-end for a ratio, what would be your low-end ratio for your classes to be the most effective with the methods you use? Herbert Brown III
Stephanie, I like the idea you propose here. Can you explain in a little more detail how you use your students as mentors and your role in that structure? Herbert Brown III
William, Have you ever received feedback on a course or from students that they felt you were not connected with them? Why might they have thought that? I have personally had classes where the majority of students said I have very present, available and helpful, but a few said I wasn't - any ideas? Herbert Brown III
