Tim, Its not just the associate that needs to comply. it is often the student. Helping them understand ethics is an important part of their training at any school and particularly important in the medical professions. I like to think our interaction with our students build problem solving, financial literacy and reasoning skills while they are learning their medical vocation. James Faulkner
Crystal, I agree. It has an added benefit of ensuring those not ready or able to benefit do not enroll. Disclosures provide enough information to help this process on. While Admissions can not ensure a graduate at time of enrollment, it is the graduated and placed student that is important to federal default rates and gainful employment rates, both of which must remain within parameters to keep programs and schools open. Nancy,I totally agree. Schools are equiped with documentation that displays 90% of all the questions that may be asked by a student. Using them is by far the Best Practice. James Faulkner
Felicita,I agree. And it is courses such as this that allow us to take a moment in ensure all associates know what the "Right thing" is. James Faulkner

Kim,I agree with what you are saying. The reward goes to those students who overcome their short term problems to succeed in the long term goals. I think we tend to forget that a new student creates a new daily routine while going to school. While a student is going through an often dramatic change in their life, a tesimonial may not be fair to the student or the school. James Faulkner

keisha,I agree. We have to avoid superlatives and take the time to fully and accurately answer student questions. James Faulkner
Discussion Comment
Vanessa, enroll for how long? What is the damage to the school as seen by the students and community? I agree with you that it is not a professional trait. James Faulkner
Discussion Comment
Mindy, and they are needless not to mention irrelevant. Superlatives may well be used because an associate is either trying to impress a student or because they don't know an answer. In either case it is not what a professional in the field would use. James Faulkner
Discussion Comment
Andrew, that is why we print disclosures, most of which are required by state and/or federal agencies to disclose. When we do not use disclosures and use superlatives instead, we are failing our school and our prospective student. James Faulkner
Audrey, hence the course. each of us need to understand and utilize these knowledge factors - it is what is expected of a professional in our respective areas of expertise. James Faulkner
