I never considered reviewing the student tutorial associated with using the online processes. I will plan on doing that in the futur.

The video describing the four things great teacher do was excellent.

It is very hard to get "total" class participation. There often seems to be one, two even three class spokesmen and at least one debator. I like the ideas mentioned about drawing into participation some of the content/shy students.

In one of my classes, I would have music playing as the clss would enter. I had the class email me with songs they would like me to put on the class play list, I would vet them for content, and I made it a point to shuffle through these songs. It was well received and added a personal touch to the class.

I liked the suggestion of developing a file of students, their experiences and histories.

It is important to link my success with that of my boss's.

I like the suggestion for varying delivery of the lecture materials.

Remembering students names is a difficult skill for me. I like the idea of using a student picture file to help.

Planning and preparing as much ahead of time as possible. I liked the example of being in the classroom early, to greet the students, so that when lecture starts the first interaction with all of the students is not "lecturing them"; some have had you personally engaged them.

Getting the students excited to learn, by you being excited about what you are teaching. This increases their engagement and interactivity. Additionally having a professional developement plan for yourself and your career.
