That module consistency is important and that there are many resources to obtain modules tat may enhance your individual programs.

The importance of keeping records of all communications for whatever reason it has occured.  Follow institutional gudelines for all intreactions and make sure students do the same.  Send reminders to students that dont get it the first time and be supportive in following the rules.

Althoutgh synchronus vs asynchronus strategies have differences one theme is that the instructor must continue to engage and drive the discussions and make changes and additions when needed.

The module clearly shows what the expectations of students are and how instructors can be prepared and responsive to meet the expectations.

It is important to knowt that learners get comfort and security when they are provided the appropriate support system and be able to provide that for thier collective success.

Over prepare nd slow down are two good things to remember with any class preparation.  I also like the idea of reflecting and jotting a few notes in the margin of the lesosn plan aftwr the class to indicate success or areas to improve.

Managing student behavior is as variable as each individual student.  Listening is of course a great first step to diffuse an angry student situation and should be used as often as necessary.  Documentation is very important as it may be needed if the behavior is not corrected and further steps are required to correct the problem.  Consistency and transparency should aleways be part of a successful set up.

I lovethe last two ideas, 1) use it wisely cards and 2) observer student.  Each idea can be useful and keep the over involved student in check but also engaged to keep the lesson going in a positive direction and let other quieter students open up and become mpore involved. Both seem to be excellent ideas for classroom management and use.

The information regarding the syllabus and how a complete thorough syllabus is a roadmap to success with clear guidelines and timelines that will help all students stay on track and know what is expected, when , and why.  Also the flexibility of being the sole arbiter of any unforseen issue I valuable to remember.  Fair and Firm.

The message of changing delivery stlye hit home as instructors can develope fall back positions and lean on one style tooo much to be truely effective in the classroom.  I like the idea of video taping the lesson and having an opportunity to review it later.  However painful it may be at the time it will certainly benefit long term.
