About me

Activity

As a visual learner myself, I find it more affective to use visual aids that might help the student to understand what the expectations are. It also gets the student excited about what they will be doing.

I think asking questions to the students during lecture keeps them alert and awake. It makes them stop and think and trouble shoot.

I think it is important to use a combination of learning styles this hopefully will help everyone.

I share with my students my experiences and what I did to be successful. I also share the expectations of employers so the student knows what to expect in the field.

When I fall into a rut, the student is the one who suffers. I think it is important that our administration should give us opportunities to become more invigorated, and recharged to teach. Holding seminars that might give us new ideas for teaching the same subject would be helpful.
The way I keep students coming back is making sure that the class environment is fun and inviting. At the same time making sure to set a high standard but not expecting perfection.
After a few days of class, I can see that cliques have formed. Usually the strong gravitate towards each other and the weak stay together. It helps both weak and strong students if they are mixed together. The weak learn from the strong and the strong learn how to be sensitive to others who have challenges.
When delivering course content it is important to be organized and concise in the delivery. It is also important to stick as closly as possible to the course content, because student's get anxious when there are to many unexpected changes.
How can we make our students realize their true potential.
