Robert, Sounds like you teach a very stressful subject. Some educational topics are great outlets for stress. Massage therapy is one example. Others however are tough, and yours sounds like one of them. I hope you have some good outlets outside of work that you can rely on. Dr. Melissa Read

Beverly, It's hard when we rely on others who are not reliable at all. This drives the need for backup plans...and backup backup plans. I try learn who I can count on and leverage their talents repeatedly. Dr. Melissa Read
Ernest, This is a tough lesson. Many of us what to be everything to everyone. Instructors are naturally giving people. But the truth is, it's easy to spread ourselves too thin. It's important to say "no" to a few people every now and then with the interest of saying "yes" to everyone else. Dr. Melissa Read
Lisa, Great to hear. It's important to know yourself and know your limits. Sometimes, it's important to take a step back. It's in fact, sometimes, the only way we can move forward. Dr. Melissa Read
Wilfred, Great to hear. I'd love to learn more about the sport that is working best for you. Truth is, everyone is different though...and different people respond well to different sports. It sounds like you found the sport that works best for you! Dr. Melissa Read
Yes, talking time to walk the dog will be good for both you and the dog Warren. It's nice when we have an animal at the house to come home to. It can really take our mind off of things and put our stress into perspective. Dr. Melissa Read

Neelam, There's a balance to strike for sure. On one hand, we don't want to get too personal at work...and we don't want to bring too much home and into our personal lives. On the other hand, we've got to be honest with the people around us about what we're dealing with. Sometimes, it's the only way they can help. Dr. Melissa Read
Beverly, I like your approach and I have to admit I'm in the same boat. I love rewarding myself with simple tasks. It's a nice way to break up my day - while getting great things accomplished too! Dr. Melissa Read
Kenya, Some instructors struggle with time management for years. Others work on continuously improving. You are not alone. Most instructors don't have a perfect system. What's important is to always keep trying and optimizing to become as efficient as possible and get the most out of work and life. Dr. Melissa Read
Shellie, Great plan - especially the bubble baths. It's wonderful to build some time into your schedule to just enjoy life. Not a lot of instructors do it, or feel guilty for doing so. You should know it's a healthy strategy and one that will likely make you more productive when you return to your tasks. Dr. Melissa Read
