I recommend talking to her instructor and familiarizing yourself with the material so you can help her. If you learn what she is being taught and supposed to be learning then maybe that will give you more ideas on how to facilitate her learning.

That's great Raymond. It sounds like you really channeled in to your students' passions and this helped them to develop their writing skills on their own. It's important to not only teach our students but also let them learn and apply those lessons in a manner that matters the most to them.

This topic was just discussed in the course I completed with you ED104. As an instructor we are certainly responsible for teaching our students inside and outside of the classroom. We need to look, act, and be professional whenever we are in contact with our students. In my profession, I quickly learned that I always need to look professional because I may encounter a client or prospective client at any time. I agree with you completely. While I have not had the opportunity to teach using the online environment I have seen the decline in proper grammar and writing skills. As instructors we need to demonstrate proper writing skills and correct our students. At our school we have added general education courses to our professional courses so that our students not only acquire their specialized skills but also gain general skills that may need to be developed. It certainly takes away from your credibility when you cannot communicate properly in written or spoken form.
