Modifying the course material to enhance active learning will be a challenge for most teachers due to the risk of stepping outside the box to find relevant resources to offer students to challenge their critical thinking skills, making the course more student-centered. 

Misconceptions of students' learning online are that they take away the teacher's influence and limited students' interactions. 

Active Learning is being in charge of one's own learning with an instructor as the facilitator of learning. The student's role is to be active in group participation, peer reviews, technology with overall student accountability in their own learning. 

Evaluation, evaluation, evaluation!!

In-person feedback is more effective than feedback through text. It adds a personal touch that is more meaningful to the student.

Students must have a dynamic syllabus that lays out all the course objectives to increase student outcomes and add requirements for the student to ask questions on a discussion blog instead of directly emailing the teacher. The students will benefit from the question, and the teacher won't be inundated by continuous emails from students with the same questions.  

I learned to organize learning objects into the lesson planning to enhance the learning process. I also learned to be consistent with how I choose to organize my teaching plans across all classes to better student understanding.
