Perez Ortiz, The commission is specific about the use of the term counselor. It is not allowed under the current regulations. Make sure your school does not use the term counselor for any personnel in admissions. Contact the CIE office for appropriate titles to avoid a violation of rule. Patty Aronoff

Shannon, Agreed! When we used technology we need to always make sure that we have a backup to the backup to the backup. Having the students sign off on the checklist is a great way to make sure that they understand what is needed to complete the admissions process. Patty Aronoff
Jaclyn, You will find that the community connection is a great one to have. There's also an opportunity to build your brand awareness within the area that your students will be employed as well as brand awareness for prospective students. Patty Aronoff
Perez Ortiz, It is important that every aspect of the enrollment agreement is completed in its entirety and with the correct information. Patty Aronoff
Regina, That is probably the most number one listed complaint in admissions. Some Students feel that they are rushed through a process because there is so much documentation involved. We need to always take the time to make sure that the student is comfortable, and also ask the questions to make sure that they understand what they are signing. Patty Aronoff
Shannon, These are your two most important documents in the admissions process. When the student signs the enrollment agreement, they are acknowledging that they have read and received a copy of the catalog. It is integral to the process that we provide them a copy of the catalog and they sign the acknowledgment as such. Patty Aronoff
Perez Ortiz, However we maintain our documentation, the important factor is that we have a process and means to obtain that information. Some schools prefer to have all information electronically where others prefer hardcopy. Many try a mix of both. Patty Aronoff
Gisela, That's a great idea! We need to build our knowledge base by reviewing such information on a regular basis. Thank you for bringing it to the form. Patty Aronoff
Sandra, Excellent point! It is one thing to provide information but it is just as important to ask questions to make sure they are understanding the information we provide. We do want to make sure the student is well aware of all aspects of enrollment. Patty Aronoff
Shannon, The students rely on us for accurate information so that they can make the right decision for them. They're dependent upon the depth and breadth of the information we provide. Patty Aronoff
