Jacqueline, I will take a page out of your book, Thank you for the post! It is funny that stickers are so motivating. But really it is not the sticker as much as it it is the recognition. Recognition plays on the emotions of people and when there are positive emotions associated with a class or instructor, the outcomes will be great. Keep up the good work. Philip Campbell

Ben, Group work is often the best type of work for students in strengthening their soft skills. However, it is also one of the hardest to coordinate and also something that most students do not want to do. Keep up the good work. Philip Campbell
Kami, Knowing that we do not relate to something might be a soft skill in itself. If you recognize that you cannot relate to someone being late, without someone telling you, then that is a soft skill. It is the same for those people who go and find work to do rather than waiting for people to give them work to do. Philip Campbell
Bruce, What are some things we need to consider when conveying messages? Philip Campbell
Kerri , I agree as well. Everything is contagious. Positive attitudes and negative ones. Stay Positive! Philip Campbell
Barry, Good points. We remember there is no stupid questions, but students always feel like what questions they have may not be good ones. Good for you, for keeping that in the back of your mind. Philip Campbell
Jorell, The "ah-ha" moment is the best. I am sure that other instructors can say the same. Thanks for sharing. Philip Campbell
Rosy, When we say, "being a good listener", what are some things that we can do to show students that we are listening? Philip Campbell
John, Positive seems to be the best way to handle any situation. Relating and handling other peoples emotions is more difficult, especially since we do not have control over them. Philip Campbell
Stacy, Very true. Often they get the message too often that they cannot do something. So we are not only trying to teach them skills, but also self-esteem. That is a hard hill to climb. Philip Campbell
