Teaching skills AND critcal thinking

In our sector our main focus is on skills development and training leading to employment placement and sucess. Teaching skills however must also include critcal thinking - that is, not only "how to" but "what happens if" or "when this changes what results"? These are positioning our students to question and find solutions immediately.

Yes, I think some students will have a more natural aptitude than others, however, I would encourage you to think about the overall instructional goals that could be met using these tools - we have focused on journaling and reflection for many years in education...for all students.
