Rebecca, Very well said - have you found the same benefit to all your students? Dr. Ruth Reynard
Ava, Very true...instructors should be aware and in touch with what students are doing in the classroom, however, the bigger challenge is to create active, collaborative learning experiences for students rather than allowing long periods of "self directed" work going in the classrooms. Much of that should be done outside the class time and in class should be focused on working together and applying information to real contexts of use. Dr. Ruth Reynard
BRIGITTE , Very well said! Yes, these additional and transferrable skills are so valuable and we should foster their continued use and development as well as recognize and reward them when we see them. Dr. Ruth Reynard

BRIGITTE , Yes, so connectivity means that students can benefit from connections with others from around the world :) This is global networking at its best! Dr. Ruth Reynard

Alfred, Yes, so self-directed skills are developed more quickly, as are customizable options for students. Dr. Ruth Reynard
