Vimlarani, Very well said...also to think about the customization and self-direction that characterize the dynamic learning space. Dr. Ruth Reynard
Vimlarani, You have provided a thorough summary of the benefits to students...all of these do depend as much on instructional design and teaching methodology as the capability of the technology, if it is to succeed. Good points! Dr. Ruth Reynard
Deborah, Wonderful! Thank you for sharing your student's feedback. I agree that more students will feel supported and their learning needs addressed in a blended delivery as long as the instructional design is flexible, not static or linear. Dr. Ruth Reynard

Joel, ...yes, and depends on the design of the instruction. Dr. Ruth Reynard
Camille, Yes, the immediacy of the technology has changed how we do most things in our society and has, for sure, changed the expectations for students as well as the capacity for engagement. Good points! Dr. Ruth Reynard

Joel, Good points. The blended delivery does encourage students to use and develop all literacy skills... Dr. Ruth Reynard

Su, Yes, very true. So the "nomadic" characteristics of our students are represented in both their expectations for continual connectivity and their desire to connect from any location. While this is convenient for the students, it also has wonderful implcations for teaching and learning as it widens the scope of the learning and integrates an expanded resourcing through Internet access. Camille, I agree...and the various skills that students learn as a result of the new technology and multidimensional connectivity, are wonderful. I think, as instructors, we need to become more aware of what these skills are and value them as learning outcomes. Dr. Ruth Reynard
Given your existing education and professional experience and training, how important is it for you to become an “adult educator” with a fully accredited M.Ed? What would the motivators be for you to pursue this kind of training?
How have you or do you use existing students to influence your teaching and strategies for student success?
