Rebecca, I would say that it depends if the students are fully online (in which case there should be clear technical specs listed to help guide them, as well as an orientation etc.) or if your students are F2F - in the latter case, there must be flexibility from the instructor giving more time for all students to fully engage and provide access on campus before or after class to help. Rebecca, Are you totally online or can your students come to a school location to work? We have students who struggle with this as well and providing flexibile access to computers on campus helps a lot... Dr. Ruth Reynard
Victor, Very true - no assumptions should be made in the area of technology skill and group learning is a great way to encourage everyone no atter what level of skill. Good points! Dr. Ruth Reynard
James, Yes, Q&A is extremely beneficial - how about group collaboration and synthesis ? Dr. Ruth Reynard

James, So your challenge is not using technology but finding ways in which it can actually mediate and facilitate the learning process - any ideas on that? Dr. Ruth Reynard

James, Encouraging students to explore for and disciver information both engages students and helps to retain the focus of the intent of the exercise. Great! Dr. Ruth Reynard
James, Do you use other methods along with quizzes to check for understanding? Dr. Ruth Reynard

James, Do you have examples of how you use this technology to engage students? Do you also use the technolgy to capture and distribute the learning moments? Dr. Ruth Reynard

James, In which courses do you use the tablets, and for which kind of learning activities? We'd all love to hear more from you on this :) Dr. Ruth Reynard
