   I was aware of learning styles and have studied these styles in my Master's program. A detailed assessment needs to be done on each student before any interventions of teaching are utilized.I believe all styles should be used so each student can learn the material in his or her way.

 Meaningful student involvement assits the students to believe that they are valued members of the class which increases their self-confidence and encourages motivation.

 Student empowerment is extrtemely important so students can share learning goals and take ownership in their learning. The students need to understand that they are responsible for their learning and they are active participants.

Keep lectures 15-18 mins at a time. Use a variety of teaching styles. Don't read lectures. Have a opening that grabs the students attention.

It is important to introduce yourself and give a overview of the class. Discussing accessibility ,attentance and syllabus also help student understand the goals of the class. Expectations, participation and evaluations are important. One must remember modeling, managing and motivation as the three key factors to assist in teaching.

 Students need to have a organized and structured environment in which they understand what is expected of them in a application manner. Thus, the students need to know the objectives, course content  and have realistic goals.  having a syllabus outlines what the class is about and which direction it is headed.Through case studies and examples students will be able to take theory and apply it to a situation. Goals are like road maps that help students understand which way to go. Checklist help teachers cover all parts of learning in a timely manner.

I learned that an instructor has three roles which include being a model(dress,conduct,neatness,etc.), manager (be prepared before class and assist everything coming together ) and motivator (showing studcents their progress). Soft skiils of customer relations as well as hard skills of procedures need to be conveyed to the students. Instructors need to be professional and have a continuous professional developmet plan. 

i learned that motivation is extremely important in helping students learn. Life experiences and immediate feedback promotes the joy of learning. Giving students life examples of course content helps them stay engaged. It is important for students to know material and be able to use it in practice.

I knew that active participation would help students acquire new information and skills (changing a novice student into an expert). I did not know the word" learnativity" but I understand it now. I also an aware that different students excell in different teaching styles. Some do better with tactile and others with cognitive style. Ofcourse the two  styles would enhance learning.I know that being excited about a subject would help students and that mid course evaluations assist in regrouping and assists students in passing. i always love telling a story to enhance the learning experience.

I learned  students need  physical comfort,  security, acceptance and self-respect. It is importnat to know students names and greet them. This establishes rapport and respect. Setting realistic goals increases competency and xpectations. Daily reinforcement and recognition of a job well done by the student will increase student achievement and in turn student satisfaction.
