I have realized that my institution over the years have implemented a lot of the requirments set fourth by the ADA.

 

I have learned that not all students will inform the school of their disabilites because of the fear. I did assume of lot of my students were lazy but now I know different.

 

Valid and reliable rubrics will enhance the learning environment. The construction and layout of the rubric is key for understanding its use. Student success in a particular assignment ways heavy on the language of the rubric.

I haved learned that just desiging a rubric because one was not there is not acceptable. The rubric must contain several components in order for it to be an effective teaching tool.

Rubrics are not used for the sole purpose of outlining an assignment but can be used as an assessment tool before the assignment and after. I liked the idea of peer assessments to help aid in the completion of assignments.

 

I have learned that a detailed rubric, that is clearly reviewed with students, for online learning will increase student success for assignments.

I clearly understand the principles of teaching and learning and where I went wrong.

 

Social media and social networking can be a plus for online students.

 

I have learned several new techniques for keeping online students participating and engaged.

 

I learned that you can not change the material for students with diabilites but you can apply modifications.
