About me

I've been a career educator for over 20 years. I currently serve as the Academic Coordinator for Brookstone College of Business and continue to be active in the classroom as a Business Instructor. My motto is "A student doesn't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I was honored to receive the Career College Association National Teacher of the Year award in 2001. I just love teaching!

Hi Terrie, Our students need as many "what if" questions as possible. They have to learn how to think out of the box. Students learn more from active learning activities. Patricia Scales
Hi CHRISTOPHER, Love it! I concur! A lot of students do not utilize their most important tool, which is their brain. I tell my students all the time to use their brain!!! Patricia Scales
Hi Vincent, Students really want to know how things are in the real world. Every opportunity we get, we need to let students know how things really are in the real world. Patricia Scales

Hi Robert, Students become more interested in and excited about the course when they fully understand how the course is either going to benefit them personally and/or professionally. Patricia Scales
Hi Maria, Excitement begins with the instructor! Your enthusiasm will certainly rub off to your students. Students love an energetic instructor. Patricia Scales
