About me

I have a passion for education and especially for ensuring that all of us continue to apply what we have learned.  I am excited about the opportunity that the Lounge provides for all of us to discuss how we are applying what we have learned & to share those great ideas.

I have had a varied background from secondary education to corporate training & now working in the career college sector.  But while I have moved in different circles it has always been surrounding my passion of education.  I look forward to our conversations.

Jerry, yes the primacy & recency aspects can greatly help in the retention of key concepts. Ryan Meers, Ph.D.
Jerry, yes, when we introduce these elements we want to make sure we kind of ease the students into the experience, but kudos for being willing to experiment. Ryan Meers, Ph.D.
Heidi, yes, some of our fields force us into this & it also provides a great way to keep our classes fresh & exciting. Ryan Meers, Ph.D.
Noel, sadly many of these students have been criticized for so long that they have built up these walls & defense mechanisms. Ryan Meers, Ph.D.
