Dr. Christopher, It's nice to have options for communicating with students. I use the discussion board the most and do not email much as well. I have over 200 students in the course; therefore, do everything to stop email overload. Thanks for your input.

Involving Students in Rubric Development
Dr. Christopher, Ah man - then you haven't see a great rubric. I have even seen creative writing instructors use rubrics effectively. I use them with writing assignments in business communication and by simply putting in a line item about being creative, helps the students. Just my two cents. ;-p
