Amos, Oh my gosh - I would go crazy without it. I even tell my students (225 of them) NOT to email me, but to use the FAQ discussion board for all questions related to the course. It's wonderful. I or other students answer questions within 24 hours.

William, AND, it helps the instructor too. We, as instructors, can ensure the assignment is connected to learning objectives and it will assist in our evaluation of students. Thanks for your input in this forum.

Jay, Some people may argue that the criteria connected to the standards is most important, but they are all important components.
Jay, Good point. We have to make sure it supports the whole - the grading component of the syllabus. Thanks!
Jane, Vagueness can be the downfall of a rubric. We have to be clear in the criteria and help students understand the expectations. Thanks!
