Rommel , I would definitely ask your Dean/Department Chair- the school should have an acceptable use policy on file that outlines your campus guidelines when it comes to incorporating social media in the classroom. I certainly wouldn't want you to get into hot water! Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt

Gleb, Compatibility really depends on the type of file you are sharing. Personally, with text documents I share both a copy of the Word document and a PDF copy so the text is "locked in", having issues with reformatting margins, etc. in the past when opened on various devices. Kirsten, What a fantastic opportunity for your friend and his/her class of students! I am sure many educators would be intimidated, contacting researchers at CERN- kudos to your friend for reaching out! Theresa Schmitt
Kassy, I am also a huge fan of Articulate Storyline- thank you for sharing! I find the software very intuitive and easy to master. Creating digital content and publishing for various devices has never been easier! Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt
Tony, Thank you for sharing, Tony. NPR is a fantastic resource, many times I have printed transcripts to share with class after listening to an interesting story on the radio on my way in to work. Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt
James, Thank you for sharing! Besides Cengage webinars, I often participate in seminars conducted through Avid (ProTools and Media Composer), which offer training on new software releases/features and often highlight respected professionals in the field. Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt
B., Fantastic examples, thank you for sharing! Theresa Schmitt
Brenda, I do the same during group project time in class, listing reputable sources on the board to ensure the information they are gathering is accurate. I find Google Scholar is a fantastic resource! Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt
Michael, Thank you very much for sharing your experience with tablet computers. Skype and Facetime are wonderful tools for educators, especially in an online environment when a student needs additional one on one assistance. I have a son in college and he only purchases ebooks, when available- this trend appears to be the norm with many Millennials in school today. Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt
Ronda, It sounds as if you have really embraced technology in the classroom! Please come back and let us know how the Facebook page and class blog are received by your classes next term. Wishing you continued success in the classroom. Theresa Schmitt
