CoCintheane, This is a great approach. If implemented properly, the learning taxonomy can provide the students with a sensible outlook to their learning. Looking at it from the macro-level, will allow them to understand the instructor's sequencing of assignments and reasoning for the selected course content. Tremayne Simpson

Wendy, I agree. Not all suggestions can be used as possible course implementation ideas, however it is important to establish a classroom environment, in which the students feel comfortable with providing input. Tremayne Simpson

Tierra, This is an excellent method for keeping track of time, during a class session. I am sure that this also serves as a great catalyst for your students' approach to time management. Tremayne Simpson

Mahnaz, I agree. Regardless of subject-matter, case studies are important because they enable the students to have to apply their knowledge and further understand the discussed concept/topic. Tremayne Simpson

David, I agree. In addition, the student non-verbal cues can serve as important indicators for their personal input regarding the course. For examples, constant "eye rolling" or "sighs" can indicate that the student is not fully engaged with the topic or course in general. Tremayne Simpson

Gordon, Does the 50 min. time allotment include student discussion, regarding the content? In some cases, students can spend a great deal of time discussing just one slide from the presentation. Tremayne Simpson
David, I agree with this approach. However, it is important to ensure that the student partners do not know each other, prior to the interview. I find that this makes the presentation more fascinating (depending on the questions that are discussed) to the students involved. Tremayne Simpson
Bill, I tend to use a combination of both informal and formal techniques, in order to gage the student's knowledge of the subject. From my experience, they seem to be more candid when the instructor just begins with general questions about the course. Tremayne Simpson
Lan, There are several methods for documenting lesson plans. Initially, I feel that it is best to create an outline for the course and save it as a "base", to ensure that the basic components of the course are accounted for. As you continue to add details and updates to the course, continue to save each version under different dates. Also, create an archive to save previous versions. Tremayne Simpson
