All that I can say about this module is that there really isn't too many ways to evaluate what the curricullum is, nor what it can be.

I really like the way that I do the Assesment of my students. It has always been more than just grading their work. It is a way that I can formulate new ideas into my class. To grade the content, as to wether it is too advanced for the module they are in, and to grade myself, as to wether or not I am conveying the information I need to get the progress required.

Some of the hardest things that I have encountered in my classes is the opening up of communication with some students. They slam shut like a clam and it's like finding hens teeth to get them to open up. You tell them the importance of asking questions or saying that they need extra help, yet they still don't open up. Anything to help on that end is a very welcome bit of information.

The more consistent you are in your presentation, the easier it is for your students and yourself to navigate through the courses.

What a delicate matter. Some students have delusions of granduer when signing up to school. However, they find that the process is more rigorous than they thought. It is then, when you as an instructor need to step in and give reassurance that they are perfectly able to complete the curicullum, just as many before have. Let them know that many before them had the same trepidations and that they were able to work through them. Keep them at the forefront of your daily routine and make it a point to reassure them that they are not alone in this… >>>

This is going to be the hardest part of teaching my students online. Not for them, but for me. 1. My typing is horrible. I have never taken a typing course and it takes me forever to post something. Although if we are on an online setting I will have to get better. I must have feedback from my students so that I know that I am getting the content across to them. I can see where syncronous would only be good with one student. That is a given. The asyncronous is when you have more time and can give… >>>

As a lifelong musician, that has been on stage hundreds of times, I have never had any problem with projecting my presence to my students. I have a deep, loud voice that has no problem in being heard and I have a sense of humor that is projected into the class setting. I find it puts the students at ease, and takes the idea that this is a chore away from them. If they have a little laughter while learning, they will pay better attention, is what I have found over the years.

I can sum up what this module has given me in very short order, ORGANIZATION. You must have the knowledge and the ability to apply that knowledge of the CMS that you are using. To be able to quikly take care of any problems that arise from the student participation of that CMS. Know what you are going to do, well before you need to do it.

look a student in the eye, ask them to tell you what they have gleaned out of the days class, give them positive AND negative feedback as needed on a personal basis and they feel like you are "there for just them" at that moment.

In my class you can see a wide range of ages, from right out of High School, to some one in their 50's. By trying to stay informed of the current events and allowing yourself to be knowledgeable on all fronts of a subject, you can see "eye to eye" with your students no matter what age they are. When you do this it puts you on that students level and you look more "human" and accessible.
