grading
lets talk about the curve garding!
I typically don't believe in grading on a curve. However, if you are covering new material or trying a different method of teaching/testing and the majority of the class does poorly, I would definitely consider a curve and take note as to the new method may not have worked as well as I had thought.
Maybe "grading on the curve" evolved from teachers whose exams were not working well as assessments?
I agree Charles. I don't agree with the grading curve system either. I believe each student deserves his/her own grade. and each student should be responsible for learning the content.
I do not agree with grading on a curve. Grading on a curve is the same as giving a student an award they did not earn. Each student should be held responsable to learn the course material.
Is gradeing on a curve subjective
