Adapting
The education process includes and adaptation process for the instructor as well as the students. As an instructor we should be able to adapt to the students learning styles as well as keeping a professional demeanor during the time when the students need to make the grade when he has been absent.
We need to keep a balance of allowing for help to stay up with the class but not allowing less work from a student who misses a lot of time to be fair to students with perfect attendance.
I agree to a certain extent. Sometimes the students want a certain grade, but are absent due to laziness. I feel we need to evaluate the situation before always being so eager to allow the student to obtain a certain grade. They should earn their grade, not just be given a grade.
