Student who have a low self esteem, a great evaluation can be a great boost, they feel that the hard work was for the right reason.
Also evaluating students, shows you to what degree the student has learn.
Evaluating gives the student what information they understand and where they need to improve.

I love to share grades and status because I get to show I care with encouragement and personalize the relationship between instructor and student. Students will remember the efforts caring instructors provide them, probably most of their lives. Kindness and caring never go out of style.
