Field Trip
I feel that field trips not only add to the students learning, but gives them such a good opportunity to network.
Hi Marilyn:
Filed trips can be a great way to re-invest the student in a particular topic. It gives them the chance to ask questions to another person and gain a fresh perspective about that topic.

Students love field trips where they actually observe what skills that are being learned in the class room are being utilized on a paient.
Hi Angela:
Filed trips can lead to bridging the academic component of learning with the real-world work setting.
Field trips offer a view that can't be duplicated in the classroom. It provides students an opportunity to visualize, and therefore be inspired by the experience.
Often, this produces a strong drive for the student to try harder in class in order to succesfully complete their training and obtain employment towards the goal of greater happiness and satisfaction in the hope for a better future.

I think a field trip lets the student grasp and understand how there education and trainig ties into there classroom training.
Hi Laura:
Yeah, the cool thing about field trips is the inspiration they create for students. It's almost magical!
Some students realize they will soon be working in this setting. Others get excited at what they see and want to be a part of that. Some may have only had a vague idea about what the work setting consisted of and field trips give these students a vision they may not have had before. That's especially exciting when I see that occur with a student.

The students love field trips. I ask the students where they want to go and try to make that happen, as long as it's approved by the school. I can open their eyes to things that I think are important, but it is just as important for them to feel their opinion counts. They are able to focus on trips that are of interest to them and they'll get even more out of it.
Hi Jessica:
Networking may occur, and that's a good thing. More important is how motivated these outings can be for the students. They open their eyes and creat a vision and hope for a better life. Powerful!
