Adding personality to your lectures

My personality really shines with my students during lecture. It has alot to do with my confidence.

Patrica,
Ease and grace often come from experience, but also competence and confidence. Smooth transitions among topics coupled with genuine and authentic delivery makes for an atmosphere student learn to trust and regard as valuable.

Yes, I agree, moderation is key as well in order for your message to be meaningful. I like my students to see that I am a real person, who is fun, yet am there to be sure they learn the objective.
Real confidence is when you can straddle your field of interest with who you are with ease and grace.

Absolutely true. In fact, it might be said it is imperative for the student to feel confiedent in the instructor's information for them to "believe" in what is beikng said.

Regards, Barry

confidence is very important as we are the "information specialist" and we need to show the students our confidence to add value to what we are presenting.

Yes, I agree. Creative and humorous personality flair enhances the learning environment. It is imperative, however, that entertaining comments need to be meaningful and interconnected with the information being reviewed and the learning needs of the students.

I like to add a lot of personality to my class. I believe that learning should be fun. This gets student to attend and engae in the class.
