Instructional leader
Becoming an instructional leader does not happen spontaneously when you walk into the classroom on that first day. Instead it takes years of getting to know yourself and your style. Thinking back to my first class makes me shudder - they ate me alive! Even after many years of instructing or facilitating students it is important to consistently review and look for areas of improvement. That is how we will stay fresh and energized!
David,
Great. Your perspective is really a value added bonus for students, as you've been there, done that.

I highley agree. I personnaly was a student at the same collage that I currently am teaching at.It has helped me in knowing the style of teaching skills from prior instructors.
Guillermina ,
When instructors embrace a sentiment like yours, they will be lifelong, continuous learners, with improvement a probable outcome.

I hope to never be "content" with myself as an instructor. I think as an instructor we should always be learning from ourselves and our students
Lynn,
I agree that any instructor who feels they "have it made" has probably stopped learning and is incorrect in their assumption. Good instructors realize perfecting their craft is a life long and continuous process.
