Instructing the Students

My main objectives is to teach the students how to study, What to look for when they read, and how to breath during a test.
My powerpoint slides are sometimes colorful and comical. After the slides, I do a activity then send the students on a break. Before I finish the slides after the break, I do a review with the students to see how much they remember.

Hi Todd:
THe style you mentioned is really effective when one topic you have been discussing is leading into another. That way, the students have a better chance at seeing the whole picture at the end of the module.

Regards, Barry

I also try to utilize review techniques a few times during each class period, and start off each class with a quick review of what we learned during the last class. Students comment that it does help them to keep the material straight when they sit down to study.
