Right. Working with a varitey of students usually means there is diversity in prior learning, learning styles, attention, and desire to learn. Sometimes personal life situations (work, marrital, childcare, illness, financial) play a role or interfere with a students ability to give their all to class effort. I agree finding alternate methods to present information may be a requirement in order for select students to grasp information and understanding.

Im constantly reminding my self that just because someone doesn't understand what I'm saying, doesn't mean they wont get it. It's my job as a teacher to find another way to give the information so it can be understood.

More resources put to use in a productive manner usually means students learn better, nclasses are more ejoyable, and the lessons more memorable.
