Teaching Different Learning Styles with Different Types of Learners

What strategies have you utilized to get this accomplish in your classroom?

Hi Jeanette:

A lot of modern pedagogy philosophies involve the idea of using a variety of apoproaches to address as many learning styles as possible EACH class session.

Hi Helen:

One idea when selecting course material and media is to try employ as many teaching styles as we can in order to address as many learning styles as possible. Selecting material and presenting it in a visual, audio, and kinesthetic way is generally considered the most efficient method of delivery.

i have a very short attention span so i have to have something keep me intriuged so impliment visual aids i also walk around and get the students up and get them hands on bye the white board and also engage debate when the class have different veiws

I try to touch on all learning styles. I teach esthetics lab but I also give handouts for certain procedures. I usually give the handouts for the students to take home and review, then the next class period, I demonstrate the procedure and then each student practice. I have also used games and have taken students outside to discuss various related topics.

I try to do something different every class period. Sometimes I mix a lecture in with a group hands-on activity, or I will have the students work individually on a small project which they then present to the class during that period. It really depends. I also always try to give some form of written material, and occasionally we will play games as well in order to review the material, or in general to apply the students' knowledge.

I use visual, auditory and hands on tools.
