I always have a few current newspaper articles related to that class as a possible plan B discussion. I find sometimes class will end 20-30 earlier than I planned so having current events to discuss is a great plan B for me!
I admit tingly do not usually have a plan B. Starting this week I will incorporate this in my class rooms. There are times where class is not going the direction I thought it would go or they pick up the material quicker than I thought they would. I will have a second lesson plan prepared or a “B” plan to get the class going.
I found it best to even inform the students that you feel we need to take another direction today, sometimes they will even have a suggestions without you having to ask them.
