Preparing New Lesson Plan
You can only imagine how much time and energy you'll save by implementing lesson plan and saving them for present and future use. This has been helpful
Debra,
Excellent point. Changing up your teaching methods can "re-energize" a student that may not have been successful the first time around, in a course.

In addition, if a student is repeating a class for any reason, it helps if the teaching method is slightly different. That way, if the information wasn't completely understood the first time, there is a better chance that it will be understood when taught in a different way.
It makes a significant difference. Course 109 should help in enhancing lesson plans
Depending on the students in the classroom also depends on how you teach the same course. Yes, for the most part I have "my lecture" but each class it is always different. Last semester I had 4 students in the accelerated EFDA program who were outstanding students. This semester I have one student struggling and the other student is doing outstanding. It is important to be able to juggle both lecture and lab at the correct speed for each one of them.
I agree, having a good lesson plan and executing that plan make for a organized class and calm teacher.
Latasha I agree. I teach the same course 3-4 times a year and every time I teach this particular course it is slightly different, because I keep learning new and different ways to teach a skill. I also learn what works well in the class and what doesn't work so well.
It is always good to change your lesson plan it helps you gain more knowledge of your topics
