Overview of Lesson Plans
I beleive that it really important for a teacher to have an overview of the course's content; so he or she can make adjustements as needed.
One suggestion that was made to me during a Supervisory Observation just last week was:
Take your Objectives from your Lesson Plan and put them on the board for every class session (most of us already to this, but it's easy to forget when you are providing extra information about assignments, etc. on the board).
Ask students, just as they exit the room, to stop by the board and make a check mark by any objective that is a challenge or for which they would like to devote more time.
I don't know if the students will do this, but it's a subtle way of them reaching out for help without being intimidated by other classmates.
some times a week before the class begins review the lesson plan and right foot notes also research subject matter maybe discuse lesson plan subjects with other teachers/inctructors.
Plus we have different types of learners so we have to take that into consideration as well
Toufik,
Relevant point. In addition, it is important that an instructor fully understands the learning objectives of the prerequisite course. With that information the instructor will be aware of what the student should have gained from the previous course.
