Lesson Plans

A lesson plan is a great tool in the flow of a class period. It may not always follow the time scheme, but it keeps you on track.

bernell dunn,

I agree. Instructor credibility can perceivably be connected to their organizational skills. Having structured lesson plans and following them, can provide the students with a level of comfort with their instructor. Conducting impromptu lectures and diverting the class with "off topic" material, can quickly destroy established credibility.

FROM BERNELL DUNN
I teach in an adult vocational school and having
a good lesson plan is really important because
adults find out real quick how much you know and
if you are faking your way ,having a LESSON PLAN
is a good road map for the lesson ,you know what to trach , you know where you are going , you know
what comes up next , but most of all you look more organigez to the students thus gaining their respect.

James,

Do you also post your daily class agenda on the student portal? If so, this is a great way for them to review material prior to a quiz or exam.

I am not a methodical teacher. However, I started passing out agendas during each class. It started out mostly for students who were absent during the previous class. I would give the student a copy and the student could review and get caught up. I usually include objectives and activities planned. We always get off topic, but just knowing that the agend is there, I know to get back on topic. This seems to help me.

Yes I agree, by me teaching at two different campuses and the weeks are different, I live by the lesson plans. It is vital that my lesson plans are detailed because it is very easy to become confused and unorganized between the two campuses. However, I really like the format illustrated during this lesson. Thanks
